NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the Philadelphia Eagles are releasing running back Ryan Mathews on Tuesday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
After passing his physical on Tuesday, Mathews was informed of his release, as expected. The Eagles will avoid paying the oft-injured rusher an injury settlement by cutting him after he was cleared. Mathews should find a suitor for the 2017 season sooner rather than later, especially since his health is finally intact.
