Mike Adams emerges in Week 13 loss

by Gary VanDyke | Mon, Dec 4th 7:52am EST

Mike Adams emerged versus New Orleans with his best game since returning to the strong safety position in week seven. Prior to this, he had his best games playing the free safety position while Kurt Coleman was nursing a knee injury. In this contest, both Adams and Coleman recorded six combined tackles, with Adams edging out Coleman with one pass defended and the forced fumble. Adams forced fumble came when he popped New Orleans Josh Hill after a catch.

Fantasy Impact:

Adams emergence in this contest again was more than likely due to fellow defensive players injuries. Both Thomas Davis and Shaq Thompson were nursing their own injuries in this contest setting Adams up for opportunities that might not have been there otherwise. When the team is healthy around Adams he isn't a suggested top IDP play. His owners will want to monitor his fellow player's health this week to see if he has that same situation in Week 14 versus Green Bay.
