Eagles wide receiver Mike Wallace was placed on injured reserve with a fractured fibula on Tuesday. To take Wallace's place on the roster, the team also signed free agent wide receiver Jordan Matthews. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Wallace suffered a fractured fibula and is out indefinitely. While a team can bring back two players from injured reserve later in the season, the Eagles now have Wallace, wide receiver Mack Hollins, and tight end Richard Rogers all on IR, which means one of those two will not be eligible to return this season. At the very least, Wallace will be out until Week 8, and it is likely he will be out longer than that. There will likely be an update on his status regarding the rest of the season in the coming weeks.
