Jordan Whitehead showing positive strides in Week Eight loss
by Gary VanDyke | Mon, Oct 29th 7:10am EDT
In a contest that had limited playmaking type plays by the Tampa Bay defense, Whitehead showed his "chops" early in the contest with a goal-line stuff on Cincinnati running back Joe Mixon keeping him out of the end zone Sunday. It was a notable and impressive play by the rookie who went on to record that tackle for a loss as well as adding four solo tackles in the losing effort.
Fantasy Impact:
After struggling with a few minor injuries Whitehead is gaining some momentum as an IDP play for fantasy owners on a defense looking for playmakers. As long as he can stay healthy he should be considered as a stash on deep benches with plenty of games still to go.
