Damontae Kazee leads disappointing Atlanta secondary in Week 12 loss

by Gary VanDyke | Steelers Correspondent | Fri, Nov 23rd 9:56am EST

Atlanta safety Damontae Kazee did manage an interception as well as four combined tackles. but overall was subject to missed tackles and being caught out of position as New Orleans Saints quarterback carved up all of the secondary players like a roasted turkey in the Atlanta loss. They allowed Brees to complete passes and touchdown to players of unknown origins such as tight end Dan Arnold, wide receivers Tommylee Lewis, Austin Carr, and Keith Kirkwood. While it was the entire defensive secondary running around like turkeys with their wings clipped, Kazee stood out with his struggles.

Fantasy Impact:

In a situation that clearly looked like a production by default scenario, Kazee still holds IDP value heading into the fantasy playoffs as a bounce-back candidate to have better games in terms of play as well as IDP production. He has had a solid year after being forced into a starting role over injuries, but in this last contest, he did show he isn't perfect.
