Irvin will miss his debut with the Panthers in Week 1 against the Rams. The 2012 first-round pick has played for Seattle, Oakland, and Atlanta in his seven-year career and racked up 43.5 sacks along the way. In his absence, rookie first-rounder Brian Burns could see more action.
