Fantasy Impact:

Gone are the days of the Redskins making the biggest offseason headlines. The signing of Stephen Paea signaled a more cautious approach to free agency, instead of getting caught up the frenzy of acquisitions. It coincides with General Manager Scot McCloughan's proclamation in January that the team would rely less on free agency. The fifth-year vet spent his NFL career in a 4-3 defense, but it's unknown to the public how the Redskins plan on using him. Defensive coordinator Joe Barry did say that he would use a 3-4 defense, but also said his 3-4 scheme will provide lineman with more flexibility. This offseason for Washington is all about upgrading a defense that has become Swiss cheese in recent years. The secondary is the biggest area of need, but the defensive line is not far behind, especially with Barry Cofield and Stephen Bowen released. Jarvis Jenkins still hasn't re-signed yet also.
