Tom Brady sweepstakes is rumored to be down to Patriots, Buccaneers

Sources are telling Chris Simms of NBC Sports that the San Francisco 49ers are "out" on Tom Brady and that his suitors seem to be down to the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Simms adds that the 49ers had been Brady's preferred destination. The Chargers and Raiders had previously been linked to Brady. (Chris Simms on Twitter)

With the NFL's official "tampering period" starting on Monday, we could soon hear some more concrete news on the Brady front. It was assumed at first that the logical conclusion was always for Brady to ultimately return to the Patriots. However, as the weeks went on, it started to seem more and more possible that he could leave. With the rumored dwindling of his list of suitors, it now sounds like Brady could end up deciding that returning to the Patriots makes the most sense. In 2019, Brady 373 of his 613 pass attempts for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
