However, Reich added that the team will still ride the hot hand throughout the season. It sounds as if Mack will get the ceremonial "start" in Week 1, but from then on he'll have to hold off Jonathan Taylor from a production standpoint, which will likely be tough to do. Mack and Taylor are beginning the season as the 1A and 1B in this backfield, but their roles could flip very quickly depending on each of their performances.
