NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki (shoulder) has a "real chance" to play in Week 15. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

If you watched Gesicki's injury last week, it did not look good. It looked like one that could end his season. However, he's progressed so well throughout the week that we could see him on the field for Sunday's imperative tilt with postseason implications versus the Patriots. While Gesicki has been relatively disappointing this season compared to his offseason hype and overall ceiling, he's finally popped. In each of his past three games, he's been catching fire. While he went for a 2/35/1 line in Week 12's win over the Jets with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center, Gesicki has gone off in his past two with Tua Tagovailoa at the helm. In two games since Week 13, Gesicki has drawn 6+ targets for 5+ receptions, 65+ yards, and at least one touchdown. Gesicki is on a three-game scoring streak with four total in that period while going for two in last week's loss to Kansas City. Gesicki has 11+ PPR points in each of his past three games including 23+ in each of his past two with Tagovailoa. In those two 23-point outings, Gesicki has finished as the TE4 and the TE2 in consecutive games. Those were his best and only TE1 outings since Week 5. If Gesicki is active without limitations, he is a locked and loaded fantasy starter for Week 15 despite a tough matchup facing a Patriots defense surrendering the third-fewest FPPG (5.0). His recent usage makes him a tough sit even though the Patriots have not allowed a tight end to score since Week 3 (Foster Moreau). It was the only receiving touchdown the Pats have allowed to tight ends in 2020.
