Nyheim Hines signs 3-year extension to stay with Indianapolis

Colts RB Nyheim Hines signed a 3-year extension worth $18.6 million, including $12 million guaranteed with the team, making him a top-10 highest paid running back in the NFL. (Field Yates on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Hines will now be tied to Indy until 2024, and although he's pretty much locked into a third-down role, the Colts committing this much money to Hines is a great sign that they believe in his talent. Hines has fantasy value due to his usage as not only a third-down running back but also as a pass catcher in the slot. It will be interesting to see how he's used this season, as if he begins to earn 6-8 targets a game along with a few carries, he could work his way into a solid flex role in deeper PPR leagues.
