Jalen Tolbert expected to be Week 1 starter for Cowboys

John Machota reports Dallas Cowboys' rookie WR Jalen Tolbert "looked pretty good working with the first team at the end of minicamp" and is expected to start Week 1. (The Athletic)

With Michael Gallup still expected to miss multiple games to open the 2022 season, Jalen Tolbert will likely start Week 1 in three WR sets alongside CeeDee Lamb and James Washington. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys have supported two Top 24 WRs in back-to-back years now. The offense ranked third in the NFL in passing touchdowns and second in passing yards last season, not to mention first in both points for and total yards. Tolbert is a must draft at his current ADP of outside the Top 50 WRs based on his chance to have a WR2 role in Dallas from Week 1.
