It is another year with an unfortunate injury for Maurice Hurst, who only played two games in 2021 before a calf injury ended his season. Hurst was getting snaps with the first-team defense on Friday and was positioned to be a piece of the 49ers interior defensive line rotation this year. Hurst is now the third San Francisco defensive tackle to suffer an injury during training camp, joining Arik Armstead (sprained MCL) and Hassan Ridgeway (quad).
