Hyde is suffering from a herniated disc and the team hopes that he can make a full recovery and return in 2023. The Bills will likely turn to Damar Hamlin to fill the free safety spot heading into Week 3 and now potentially for the remainder of the season. The loss of Hyde is massive for the Bills' defense and will be a hard void to fill.
