Jason Verrett (achilles) out for the season after tearing achilles

San Francisco cornerback Jason Verrett tore his Achilles tendon at practice on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the season. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Verrett looked close to returning to action after starting the season on the PUP list. Verrett tore his ACL in September 2021, so this is devastating news for the veteran DB, who has worked hard to return to the field. Though they surely were looking forward to his return, this shouldn't affect the Niners D/ST, as they haven't had him in the fold for over a year.
