According to Field Yates and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the New England Patriots have signed free agent QB Trace McSorley to a one-year deal. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Patriots were actively looking for a mobile QB, according to Fowler, and McSorley provides that. Over his three NFL seasons, McSorley has only started one game, throwing for 217 yards on 45 attempts in Week 16 of 2022. McSorley will likely be the QB3 on the roster, though the idea that the Patriots actively sought after a mobile QB draws suspicion that they could use him in specific packages on occasion.
