Sam LaPorta wows at rookie minicamp

Sam LaPorta was “easily the best player on the field” during the rookie minicamp. He reportedly caught the most passes of anyone there, and also beat fellow rookie Jack Campbell during one-on-one drills. (SB Nation)
Fantasy Impact:
The Lions have needed a starting tight end since trading away TJ Hockenson to the Vikings back in 2022. LaPorta was drafted early in the second round to fill that hole, and he’s off to a promising start. Rookie tight ends are not the best of bets for fantasy, but the opportunity could be there for the young Lions tight end.
