Nick Thurman was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars Friday, allowing the team to re-sign defensive lineman Dawuane Smoot. (John Shipley)
Fantasy Impact:
Thurman's release shouldn't impact Jacksonville's defense in 2023, since he has been on the team's practice squad since September. Smoot will provide depth behind the young pass rushing duo of Travon Walker and Josh Allen, who will look to improve Jacksonville's average of two sacks per game from 2022.
