Anderson made the most of his playing time when fellow tight end, Vance McDonald left the second preseason game with an injury. Anderson's 32 yards on two receptions lead the 49ers for their second preseason game. Anderson is a long shot to make the opening day squad, but could be a sneaky daily selection should Vernon Davis miss an extended period of time.
