Walter Thurmond remains a valuable part of Eagles DB's

by James Brimacombe | Tue, Sep 1st 11:22am EDT

Thurmond continues to make plays for the Eagles secondary. He was an underrated free agency signing and has only helped to add depth to the Eagles defensive backs. After making the shift from CB to Safety, Thurmond has showed he deserves a role among the starting DB's. Thurmond returned an interception 28-yards for a touchdown against the Packers in the teams preseason game. (PhiladelphiaEagles.com)

Fantasy Impact:

"It’s just another example of what he does in practice every day," defensive coordinator Bill Davis said of Thurmond. "He had at least an interception a day and he showed up the last couple of games. He’s always in the right spot, around the ball. He’s got a great feel for the game and tonight he was in the right place at the right time and took it to the house. Hopefully we’ll see more of that. "Those are the things we saw in him when we signed him. He has great vision and good football instincts. He sees the field well." He remains an under the radar pickup in deep IDP leagues.
