Justin Fields, in his first interview since being traded, says he is happy with his landing spot in Pittsburgh. Fields also said that he doesn't plan to sit as the backup quarterback all year and plans to compete for the starting role with Russell Wilson. (Brooke Pryor on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Fields was aware a trade was coming and was appreciative that Ryan Poles put him in the spot he wanted to be at. Fields holds a truly unique rushing upside, and if he can carve out a role as a starter, his rushing prowess will almost certainly put him in the QB1 conversation.
