Walter Thurmond locked down the starting safety position during the preseason and he continued his success in Monday Night's loss to the Falcons. (ESPN)

Thurmond finished with 6 tackles and one for a loss to go along with an interception against the Falcons. He looked comfortable in his role in the secondary and looks to be a good option to make plays going forward.
