After the Bears waived third-string QB David Fales on Tuesday it opened up a roster spot on the 53-man roster. On Wednesday, the Bears signed 25-year-old DE Lavar Edwards. Edwards is a third-year pro, who has appeared in 11 games making one start in two NFL seasons with the Titans (2013) and Cowboys (2014). He's made 10 tackles and one pass deflection in his career. Fantasy Impact:

The 6-4, 275-pounder takes the place of DE Cornelius Washington who went on season-ending IR with a quadriceps injury suffered in Week 1. Edwards was selected by Tennessee in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of LSU. He spent training camp with Dallas before being wavied on Sept. 6 then claimed Oakland on Sept. 7 and cut four days later. Edwards was signed over two practice squad players DL Brandon Dunn and Terry Williams. The Bears want a more natural pass rusher as their last rotational DL. Edwards will make his debut on Sunday against Arizona.
