Given that the league often waits for the legal system to play out first before issuing suspensions, the NFL can now work toward dishing out its own punishment for Rice for the incident last offseason. As noted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rice is likely to receive a multi-game suspension, which may come at the start of the 2025-26 season.
