The Detroit Lions have placed defensive lineman Marcus Davenport on injured reserve due to a chest injury. He will miss a minimum of four games. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Davenport joined the Lions last season, playing in a pair of games before suffering a season-ending triceps injury. He also missed extended time with the Minnesota Vikings in 2023 due to a high-ankle sprain. The defensive lineman has an extensive injury history, but he has shown potential as a pass rusher in the past, with a nine-sack season in New Orleans in 2021. He can return, at the earliest, against the Vikings on Nov. 2.
