Kyle Pitts Sr. expected to get franchise tag from Atlanta

by David Leisering | Falcons Correspondent | Mon, Feb 23rd 4:24pm EST

Kyle Pitts Sr. is expected to get the franchise tag from the Atlanta Falcons. It would be a one-year deal worth more than $15 million, but the Falcons' hope is to work out a long-term deal with their star tight end. (Ian Rapoport on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Pitts, arguably, enjoyed his finest season as a pro in 2025 as he caught a career-high 88 passes for 928 yards and a career-best five touchdowns, earning All-Pro Second Team accolades. Over his five-year career, Pitts has caught 284 passes for 3,579 yards and 15 touchdowns - all with the Falcons. Still just 25 years old, Pitts has emerged as a top five fantasy tight end and should be one of the first tight ends taken off the board in 2026.
