Dre Greenlaw has been released by the Denver Broncos, according to multiple reports. The move saves Denver only $6 million while leaving $4.33 million in dead money. (Ian Rapoport on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Greenlaw signed a three-year, $31.5 million contract with Denver following the 2024 season. However, Greenlaw appeared in just eight games in his first, and only, season with the Broncos. He finished with 43 tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack, and one interception in Denver. Greenlaw had back-to-back monster seasons in 2022 and 2023 with the 49ers, combining for 247 tackles in 30 starts, which aided in the big signing with Denver. Greenlaw, who will turn 29 in May, has proven that when healthy, he is a premier linebacker in the NFL. However, he has played double-digit games in just four of his seven seasons. Teams in need of linebacking help can now opt to take a chance on Greenlaw to see if he can stay on the field for an entire season.
