Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak expects Fernando Mendoza to see "plenty" of playing time in the team's preseason opener on Thursday against the Cardinals. (Levi Edwards on X)

Kubiak made it clear coming into camp that Mendoza is the QB2 behind Kirk Cousins, and the rookie will get a chance to introduce himself to the NFL on Thursday. Mendoza could get some reps with the starters on offense as well, as Kubiak also announced that they would play at least a portion of the game.
