Dezmin Lewis to emerge as Buffalo's No. 3 wideout

by Anthony Cervino | Sat, Jul 23rd 3:26pm EDT

Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News is suggesting that Buffalo Bills WR Greg Salas "made the biggest push out of the gate" for the No. 3 wide receiver job. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman also talked up Lewis as a candidate for the spot entering training camp. “Dez Lewis is really making huge Year One to Year Two strides,” Roman said. “He’s here first thing in the morning. He’s one of those guys that we started to take notice of before we even got on the field. What usually happens, what they do in the meetings, weight room, etc. carries over to the field. Those two are very interconnected. His play on the field has reflected that.” (The Buffalo News)

Fantasy Impact:

Second-year receiver Dez Lewis had reportedly made tremendous strides this offseason and could enter the regular season as the No. 3 wideout of the Buffalo Bills. Lewis is a relative unknown in the league and spent the better part of the 2015 season on the practice squad. Lewis will partake in a training camp position battle with Marquise Goodwin, Greg Salas and Leonard Hankerson for the slot receiver job and has a legitimate shot at winning it. In the upcoming fantasy football campaign, Lewis should be considered a deep sleeper who should remain on the waiver wire to start the year unless unforeseen circumstances occur with Sammy Watkins or Robert Woods.
