Eddie Lacy expected to miss 'several weeks'

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Oct 18th 8:53pm EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) is expected to miss "several weeks" of football activities. Rapoport later added that he believes that Lacy is dealing with "more than a sprained ankle." (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It appears that Lacy's ankle injury is more severe than earlier reported and could be sidelined for the foreseeable future, which likely could doom Green Bay's running game. The Packers are already without James Starks for the next month due to his knee injury and now Lacy's setback opened the door for the team to acquire Knile Davis on Tuesday. Moving forward, Davis should be considered the starting running back of the Packers if Lacy, is in fact, out for an extended period of time and should be added across all fantasy football formats.
