Bobby Rainey has a goose egg on Week 9 stat sheet

by John Camera | Sun, Nov 6th 5:56pm EST

Bobby Rainey did not accumulate any stats for the Giants in their Week 9 win over the Eagles. Once the Giants' starting back when Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen were hurt, Rainey has become the third back on the depth chart thanks to Jennings' return and rookie Paul Perkins' emergence. Rainey totaled five snaps, all on passing plays.

Fantasy Impact:

Rainey has seen his snap count trickle in the past four games from 28 to 27 to 12 and now just five. Rainey primarily plays special teams and no longer looks to be featured as a weapon. It would take an injury or a long stretch of poor play from Jennings and Perkins to make him fantasy relevant once again.
