Week 17 Outlook
Jeff Duncan of The Athletic writes "the opportunity is going to be there" for Saints TE Adam Trautman to have a big sophomore campaign.
Of course, this is assuming that Jared Cook heads elsewhere in free agency. The 23-year-old Trautman would likely enter the '21 season as the team's starter. A third-round pick last year, Trautman totaled just 15 receptions during his rookie campaign.
Adam Trautman caught one of three targets for three yards in Sunday's playoff win over the Bears.
Trautman came into this game averaging exactly one reception per game during the regular season. With Jared Cook demanding the majority of looks out of the tight end spot, Trautman doesn't offer much excitement in fantasy.
Saints TE Adam Trautman caught his lone target for a five-yard gain in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Panthers.
Trautman joined a slew of Saints' pass-catchers who logged one target. He is stuck behind Jared Cook but could be the New Orleans' TE1 of the future.
Saints TE Adam Trautman caught both of his targets for 45 yards in Friday's Week 16 win over the Vikings.
Trautman has been more involved in the offense, but not enough to garner fantasy relevancy. He could, however, be the tight end to covet from the Saints in future years. Trautman gets the Panthers in the season finale.
