Adrian Amos signing with Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are signing veteran S Adrian Amos, who was released by the New York Jets on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Amos is a veteran at defensive back, logging 125 career starts in his nine NFL seasons. He only started three of New York's 11 games and was seeing less time on defense and more time on special teams. At the age of 30, Amos can come in to provide a veteran mindset on defense and provide depth alongside S Jimmie Ward and Deandre Houston-Carson.

Adrian Amos signs a one-year deal with the Jets

The New York Jets signed veteran DB Adrian Amos to a 1-year deal worth up to $4M.

Fantasy Impact

Amos will provide a veteran presence in the secondary for the Jets. There was talk of him returning to Green Bay or heading to Baltimore, but he'll instead join the Jets defense as they look to build off a strong 2022 season.

Adrian Amos agrees to restructure with Packers, per Schefter

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Packers and S Adrian Amos have agreed to restructure the safeties contract to free up cap space for 2021.

Fantasy Impact

The move doesn't come at much of a surprise as star lineman Za'Darius Smith is headed to free agency. With the cap going down and the Packers being up against it, the move will likely help the team retain the star lineman.

Adrian Amos has game-clinching INT against former team

Adrian Amos recorded five tackles (four solo) and a critical interception in the Packers’ 10-3 win over the Bears on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Amos made his Packers debut against his former team and sealed the win for Green Bay with a key interception. With Chicago down 10-3 and driving into Packers territory, Amos came up with a pick in the back corner of the end zone with just under two minutes to play. Expect a strong season from the talented safety in Green Bay's revamped defense.
