Alec Pierce
WR - IND
2022 Outlook
The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they have signed their 2022 2nd round pick, WR Alec Pierce to a rookie contract
Fantasy Impact
Pierce had an early breakout age at Cincinnati and was a big contributor to the Bearcats’ College Football Playoff run in 2021. In his last season at Cincinnati, Pierce recorded 884 receiving yards and 8 TDs while functioning as a large and fast downfield threat. Pierce will compete with the often injured Paris Campbell and Ashton Dulin for a starting WR spot and the opportunity to play alongside WR Michael Pittman. The Colts acquired veteran QB Matt Ryan this offseason in hopes of elevating a passing attack to better compliment the team's strong running game, and Pierce’s early development may play a key role in making that vision a reality.
The Indianapolis Colts have selected WR Alec Pierce with the No. 53 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Pierce was an early producer at Cincinnati, contributing as a three-year starter who brought great size, speed, and ball skills to the Cincinnati’s passing attack. Pierce is a downfield threat who tracks the ball well and has excelled in contested catch situations. Pierce contributed 884 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns to Cincinnati’s College Football Playoff run in 2021. Pierce will pair up with Matt Ryan and Michael Pittman in the new-look Colts’ passing offense.
