Alex Anzalone
LB - Detroit Lions
2024 Outlook
The Detroit Lions have signed LB Alex Anzalone to a 3-year contract worth $18.75 million.
Fantasy Impact
The 28-year-old has played in Detroit for the last two years, collecting 126 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 13 pass deflections, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery. He averaged 10.75 IDP fantasy points per game last season.
Alex Anzalone finished Monday night's 30-28 win with five solo tackles and a sack.
Fantasy Impact
Anzalone picked up right where he left off last season. There are plenty of LB to pick from in the league but Anzalone looked great today and IDP owners should consider picking him up. He has a great chance to rack up more than 80 tackles this year.
New Orleans Saints second-year linebacker Alex Anzalone has now made three impact plays in as many games after the win over the Bengals Sunday. In this time span, he has one forced fumble in Week 8, one interception in Week 9, and versus the Bengals, in Week 10 he recorded a sack.
Fantasy Impact
For IDP owners Anzalone has added to those impact plays by recording a combined tackle stat sheet of fifteen as well as one tackle for a loss and a pass defended. Going forward he looks like a viable linebacker option heading into the fantasy football playoffs as a solid LB2 or depth player in case of injury.
LB Alex Anzalone said recovery from shoulder surgery has gone well, but declined to say if he’ll be ready for OTAs
Fantasy Impact
A starter for the beginning of the 2017 season, Anzalone was sent to injured reserve this past October. If he can get back to full health he may be in line for another shot at the weakside linebacker position with the starting defense. Fantasy IDP owners may want to stash him or draft him late as a deep sleeper.
The New Orleans Saints have been forced to place rookie linebacker Alex Anzalone on injured reserve with a shoulder injury suffered against Miami in London.
Fantasy Impact
WLB Craig Robertson will slot in for fantasy owners lucky enough to have stayed ahead of this situation. He was the team tackle leader last season and despite some shortcomings is in a great situation now to be as productive as he was before.
