QB - HOU
Week 7 Outlook
League sources confirm that Jaguars have released QB Alex McGough according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN Nation.
This is not a big surprise as McGough did not make a big impression in the preseason and was outplayed by Gardner Minshew who will be the backup to Nick Foles. Look for McGough to get signed to the practice squad.
Alex McGough completed six of 12 pass attempts for 31 yards while rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown on three carries during Thursday's 31-12 preseason loss to Atlanta.

Alex McGough was 2-for-9 for 10 yards and rushed two times for 21 yards and scored a touchdown as the Jaguars lost to the Eagles by a 24-10 score.
McGough was drafted in the seventh round draft last season by the Seahawks and ended up spending the year on the practice squad. He could end up in a similar situation this year as Gardner Minshew has the inside track for the backup QB job behind Nick Foles.
Alex McGough completed three passes on eight attempts for 19 yards and an interception as the Jaguars lost to the Ravens on Thursday.
McGough was drafted by the Seahawks in the seventh round of last year's draft and spent the season on the team's practice squad. He is now looking to make the Jaguars roster but will need a better performance than he had on Thursday in the preseason.
