Alijah Vera-Tucker

Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Impact

As expected, the veteran will be sidelined on Thursday night as he nurses a hamstring issue of some kind. New England's offensive line is dealing with several key players being injured right now, so their unit may be weaker than usual in Week 7.

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said Alijah Vera-Tucker will "probably not" be available this week.

Fantasy Impact

Vera-Tucker and Ben Brown are not expected to be available.

Alijah Vera-Tucker is signing with the New England Patriots according to multiple reports. The versatile offensive lineman gets a three-year deal from the reigning AFC Champions.

Fantasy Impact

Vera-Tucker was selected 14th overall by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft and immediately started all 16 games as a rookie. However, health has been a concern since then as he combined to play just 12 games in 2022 and 2023 and missed all of last season with a torn triceps injury. When on the field, Vera-Tucker has been effective, especially as a run blocker. He also has taken snaps at both guard and both tackles positions during his career. If healthy, the Patriots substantially improved their offensive line with the signing of Vera-Tucker.

The Giants are expected to show interest in free agent OG Alijah Vera-Tucker.

Fantasy Impact

Raanan notes that the Giants are expected to address the guard position quickly with Vera-Tucker being an option. The Giants will be looking to address their offensive line heading into year two with Jaxson Dart.

Jets RG Alijah Vera-Tucker will undergo season-ending surgery.

Fantasy Impact

The news confirms the fears the Jets had as reported earlier in the week. Vera-Tucker suffered the injury during Tuesday’s practice. He had been set to play on his fifth-year option. He'll enter free agency next offseason.
