Kicker Andrew Furney released
The New York Jets have released kicker Andrew Furney to make way for new signing wide receiver Austin Hill. Furney was signed by the Jets last offseason to compete in camp with Nick Folk.
Fantasy Impact
It now appears that Folk is locked in to start for the Jets next season with this recent news. It was unlikely that Furney was ever going to unseat him anyway, and there's just as much chance that the released kicker will get a chance to start on another NFL roster.
