OT - NO
Week 7 Outlook
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Saints and OT Andrus Peat have agreed to terms on restructuring the veteran tackles contract. The deal will save the team $6 million.
The restructures continued on Wednesday with Peat and Malcolm Jenkins both agreeing to restructure their contracts. The move comes at no surprise as the team is over the cap, especially after franchise tagging star safety Marcus WIlliams on Tuesday.
Saints Pro Bowl OL Andrus Peat has been ruled out for Week 12 with a concussion.
Peat, who received a hefty contract extension before the season, has been to the Pro Bowl each of the last two years and is a key piece to the Saints offensive line. This shouldn't have too much of an impact on Alvin Kamara as they take on the Broncos Sunday. Denver's D/ST is currently ranked 16th against the run.
Early indication is that New Orleans Saints G Andrus Peat suffered a high-ankle sprain Sunday night against the Packers and will have more tests done on Monday.
Peat has been to the Pro Bowl each of the last two seasons and is a key piece to the Saints offensive line. New Orleans has a bye in Week 6 and it is unknown at this time if he'll be heading to short-term IR.
The Saints selected Andrus Peat with the 13th overall pick in the first round.
Peat should start early on what will be a revamped offensive line next year. QB Drew Brees and RB Mark Ingram should both be beneficiaries of the extra passing time and running lanes Peat will help create.
