Anthony Richardson
QB - Indianapolis Colts
Availability
Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson is receiving trade interest from teams around the league, though Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz says a trade is unlikely.
Fantasy Impact
A team receiving calls is a completely different playing field than a team entertaining calls. While the Colts benched their young QB, that likely does not mean they are completely done with him, and a trade should not be considered likely. However, you can't blame other NFL teams for doing their due diligence and checking in with Indy on his availability, even if his production has been rough this season.
The Colts are benching Anthony Richardson for Joe Flacco.
Fantasy Impact
The move was made by the coaches Tuesday morning. Flacco should bring more stability to Michael Pittman, Josh Downs and the entire Colts offense. Flacco will be in the QB2 range for fantasy managers in 2-QB and superflex leagues.
Colts coach Shane Steichen said "we are evaluating everything" when asked if Anthony Richardson is starting in Week 9.
Fantasy Impact
Richardson did not answer the question the first time before saying they're evaluating everything the second time. This will remain a situation to monitor throughout the week.
Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson threw for 175 yards while completing under a third of his passes (10 of 32) with a touchdown and an interception.
Fantasy Impact
As has been the case for most of the season, Richardson was a highs-and-lows QB in Week 8. He converted a season-long, 69-yard play to Josh Downs, who had a huge game, but he struggled to get the ball to his receivers, marking a season-low completion percentage (31.3%) and his fifth game with 50% completion or worse in six appearances. He has four passing touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.
Anthony Richardson completed 10-of-24 passes for 129 yards in the Colts 16-10 win over the Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Richardson was able to somewhat salvage his day with 56 rushing yards, though he also lost a fumble. He has yet to complete over 50 percent of his passes across his handful of starts. He still holds the rushing upside from a fantasy perspective, but he is tough to trust as a passer right now.
