Atlanta Falcons
DST - ATL
This Week Outlook
The Atlanta Falcons are hiring former Titans OC Arthur Smith as their next head coach.
Fantasy Impact
This is a well deserved promotion for Smith, who bring a modern offensive philosophy to his new home. Atlanta still has plenty of talent on offense and Smith will now be tasked with unlocking it. The organization also has the No. 4 overall pick in the draft. Perhaps Smith will want to draft Matt Ryan's successor.
The Atlanta Falcons D/ST surrendered 485 total yards and 44 points in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
The Tampa offense led by Tom Brady continues to roll over tier opponents. Meanwhile, Atlanta's defense will end the season on a note to forget. Despite a slew of talent, the Falcons' defense under performed in 2020 and will look to rebuild for 2021.
The Atlanta Falcons D/ST surrendered 395 total yards and 17 points in Sunday's Week 16 loss to the Chiefs.
Fantasy Impact
For the second straight game, the Falcons' defense gave away a win, squandering leads in both. However, they did manage to hold the high-octane Chiefs' offense to 17 points. Under Raheem Morris, Atlanta has been a much-improved team. They close out 2020 versus the Bucs.
The Atlanta Falcons D/ST surrendered 416 total yards and 31 points in Sunday's Week 15 loss to the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
Here we go again right? The Falcons had a commanding lead on Tom Brady and they blew it. He lit them up. Leonard Fournette also got into the mix with a pair of scores. While the Falcons' defense has played better of late, they laid the proverbial egg on Sunday. The Falcons can be faded in Week 16 versus Kansas City.
The Atlanta Falcons D/ST surrendered 345 total yards and 20 points in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
While the Atlanta defense played well, they could not pull out the win. While they did record a sack and an interception, they had a mediocre fantasy outing at best. The Falcons get the Buccaneers in Week 15.
