Week 13 Outlook
The Baltimore Ravens defense played well in a 19-14 loss to the Steelers in Week 12. Baltimore managed to force two turnovers in the loss.
Considering that the team was extremely short-handed thanks to multiple members on the team testing positive for COVID-19, Baltimore did well to limit a dangerous Pittsburgh offense to just 19 points. The Ravens will be a decent fantasy option against the Cowboys in Week 13, provided they get most of their starters back.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the Ravens-Steelers Week 12 matchup has been postponed to Wednesday.
The NFL has their back to the wall with scheduling right now. The league hasn't yet missed a game due to COVID-19, but Wednesday is likely as far back as this one can go without there needing to be a Week 18. One would assume the stats from this game still hold up for Week 12, but hopefully we get clarity from fantasy providers on that soon.
Baltimore Ravens had one positive COVID-19 test, but it was to a player that is on IR and it will not affect the status of Tuesday's game.
There is still no final word as to whether this game will be played or not, but having no new positive tests feels as though it is trending in the right direction. Dan Graziano noted that "There is some concern among players about playing tomorrow, but also an understanding that, if the game is canceled, no one gets paid." The NFL has given the Ravens the go-ahead to travel to Pittsburgh, but more tests will ensue tomorrow before kickoff. If your league doesn't have a contingency plan in place for this fiasco, it might be best to rely on players in Monday Night Football's matchup between the Seahawks and Eagles as Tuesday's game isn't guaranteed to play.
Jay Glazer of FOX reports "at least" two more Ravens starters will be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Sunday morning.
Glazer adds that at least one of the players going on the list has tested positive. It continues to look unlikely that the Ravens play the Steelers on Tuesday night, which presents the NFL with their toughest scheduling challenge to date. Hopefully we get clarity by lineup lock on Sunday, but as of now fantasy mangers should plan to be without their Ravens and Steelers for Week 12, just to be safe.
ESPN reports that the Ravens-Steelers Week 12 matchup is tentatively being moved from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday night.
This felt inevitable once the Ravens' outbreak continued to spread into Thanksgiving night. Baltimore is also supposed to play next Thursday, which obviously won't happen if they play Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Fantasy managers might have some tough decisions to make in regards to whether or not they should start notable Ravens/Steelers players or go with a "safer" option who is playing on Sunday. Hopefully we have some clarity come lineup lock at 1 PM EST on Sunday.
