Bishop Sankey done for the year

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Minnesota Vikings running back Bishop Sankey (ACL) will miss the entire 2017 season with a torn ACL.

Fantasy Impact

As a result of the injury, Sankey will undergo surgery and was immediately waived by the Vikings to free up a roster spot. Terrell Newby is now the favorite to enter 2017 as the Vikings' RB4 behind Jerick McKinnon, Latavius Murray and Dalvin Cook.

Bishop Sankey signs with Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs signed RB Bishop Sankey on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Sankey signing with the Chiefs spells the worst for Jamaal Charles' outlook moving forward. If Charles' visit with Dr. Andrews this week does not go well, Sankey could be a fantasy asset for the remainder of the year.

Bishop Sankey signed to Patriots practice squad

The Patriots signed Bishop Sankey to the practice squad Sunday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Fantasy Impact

Even though he was signed to the practice squad, Sankey could see NFL action sooner than later. The Patriots are carrying only three running backs and will need depth. The third-year running back got cut in a numbers game in Tennesee and was actually enjoying a solid preseason after a disappointing two years with the Titans who had high hopes after drafting him in the second round.

Bishop Sankey cut by the Tennessee Titans

Former Titans RB Bishop Sankey and WR Justin Hunter have been cut from the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Impact

Sankey was never able to materialize into anything more than a garbage time back. He ends his time with the Titans having 762 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Even if Sankey does sign with another team, he will not be fantasy relevant this season or beyond.

Bishop Sankey fighting for final RB spot on roster

According to Jason Wolf of The Tennessean, Titans running back Bishop Sankey is competing for the fifth and final roster spot at running back with Antonio Andrews and David Cobb.

Fantasy Impact

With the team acquiring DeMarco Murray and drafting Derrick Henry, the odds of Sankey making the roster dropped dramatically. Sankey has talent and natural athleticism, but it has yet to translate to the football field, and it is unlikely it ever will while he wears a Titans uniform. Odds are high he is cut at some point this offseason, but he should latch on somewhere and it isn't entirely out of the question that he carves out a role somewhere else. For now, he is best left off your fantasy radar.
