Former 1st-round pick Bjoern Werner has signed with the Jacksonsville Jaguars.

The Jags just keep adding depth and Werner is a good one. Werner ran into some health issues with the Colts but with the Jaguars ramping up their defense- Werner should get a shot to contribute regularly.

Head coach Chuck Pagano says Bjoern Werner has "made a huge jump." Werner will look to fill the void left by last season's sack leader Robert Mathis who is serving a four game suspension for violating the leagues PED policy.

Fantasy Impact

The Colts are wasting no time in inserting Werner into the first team defense reps, splitting time with Mathis. Both Mathis and Pagano praised Werner's offseason preparation, saying he seemed to play the game faster with better reaction. Look for Werner to be a surprise IDP candidate, especially while Mathis is out.
