RB - DET
Week 7 Outlook
Detroit Lions RB Bo Scarbrough has been activated from Injured Reserve on Saturday.
Scarbrough is being activated for the first time this season. He'll rejoin a crowded backfield led by Adrian Peterson and D'Andre Swift, with Kerryon Johnson as a distant third in the pecking order. Fantasy managers can ignore Scarbrough unless there are injuries to the preceding runningbacks.
Bo Scarbrough made Detroit's final 53-man roster on Saturday before subsequently being moved to IR to allow the Adrian Peterson signing. This move creates the ability for the Lions to bring Scarbrough back from IR after Week 3 if he is deemed healthy enough to return.
Scarbrough has been dealing with an undisclosed injury since the start of Lions training camp. The physical down-hill runner provides value in goal-line territory and is an asset in the Detroit backfield. Scarbrough should remain on fantasy waiver wires until his potential return off IR in Week 4.
Bo Scarborough carried nine times for 42 yards in the Lions’ 23-20 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
After dominating touches for weeks, Scarborough once again played second-fiddle to Kerryon Johnson. The former is only a viable fantasy option if given a high-volume of touches. He should start the 2020 season on the bench.
Bo Scarborough rushed eight times for 34 yards in the Lions’ 27-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday.
Scarborough returned from a one-game absence to split the backfield workload with Kerryon Johnson. It's possible Johnson is given a bigger workload in Week 17 to close out the year, and Scarborough should be dropped if you haven't made the move already.
