Allen continued to see limited work Sunday, but he could be in line for more touches in Week 4 if Breece Hall (thigh) misses time. Hall was injured late in the game and will likely undergo testing Monday to determine the severity of the injury.
Braelon Allen rushed five times for seven yards and one touchdown while also catching his only target for eight yards in the Jets' 20-17 Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Allen made the most of a forgettable performance as part of an underperforming backfield attack Sunday, scoring his first touchdown of the season in a losing effort. The running back remains more of a complementary option behind No. 1 running back Breece Hall for head coach Aaron Glenn, with a favorable Week 3 contest against the Detroit Lions up next.
Braelon Allen carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards and failed to corral his lone target in a 23-10 win over the Titans in Week 1.

Allen mixed in as the backup behind Breece Hall, who handled 22 carries and caught two passes. The Jets will continue to utilize Allen to spell Hall throughout the season, but the former only has fantasy value as a handcuff for the time being. He will take on the Packers at home in Week 2.
Jets reporter Ryan Dunleavy said Braelon Allen "looked spry" in practice on Thursday.

Dunleavy added that Allen bounced a couple long runs to the outside. He is working his way back from a season-ending injury and figures to remain in his 1B/backup role behind Breece Hall.

The news gets worse regarding Allen's prognosis after he was placed on IR earlier this week. The second-year running back suffered an MCL sprain while returning a kick this past Monday night in Miami, and it was announced Friday morning that he will be out of action for multiple months. Isaiah Davis will likely step into the top backup role behind starting RB Breece Hall for the Jets.
