The Panthers picked up QB Bryce Young’s fifth-year contract option.
Fantasy Impact
This was the expectation as per Panthers GM Dan Morgan. Young was able to show flashes this past season, including nearly defeating the Rams in the playoffs. He'll now have at least two more years in Carolina.
Bryce Young is expected to have his fifth year option picked up by the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact
With Young leading the Panthers to the playoffs, albeit in an odd set of circumstances, it’s understandable. However, Young has been incredibly inconsistent throughout his career, and it’s fair to wonder if a third year in Dave Canales’ system will change much of anything.
Bryce Young completed 24-of-35 passes for 266 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Panthers 16-14 loss against the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
Young was able to bounce back after throwing for just 54 yards in the week prior. He also had a pass downfield to Tetairoa McMillan that was called back for a questionable offensive pass interference call. With the Falcons win over the Saints on Sunday, Young and the Panthers will be hosting the Rams in the Wild Card round next weekend.
Bryce Young completed 14-of-24 passes for 54 yards with an interception in the Panthers 27-10 loss against the Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact
Young added 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground as a runner. It was a game to forget all afternoon for him as a passer through the air. It will be the Panthers facing the Buccaneers with the division and a playoff spot on the line in Week 18.
Bryce Young completed 21-of-32 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers' 23-20 win over Tampa Bay. He also ran four times for 20 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Young had a nice game in this one, extending plays and scrambling for extra yardage. On one of those extended plays, he avoided several tacklers and found TE Ja'Tavion Sanders wide open in the endzone for a touchdown. Young has started to turn a corner, but has still been on the "every other week" plan. He will look to prove himself when he faces the Seahawks' defense next week.
