Buccanneers running back Bucky Irving has undergone off-season shoulder surgery.
Fantasy Impact
Irving was limited to just 10 games in the 2025 season due to ankle and shoulder injuries, the latter of which he hopes was corrected by surgery. The 2024 breakout star rushed for 588 yards with only one touchdown in 2025, following a rookie season in which he accumulated 1,112 rushing yards alongside eight touchdowns while appearing in all 17 regular-season games.
Bucky Irving ran for 85 yards on 26 carries in the Buccaneers 16-14 win over the Panthers. He also caught 1-of-2 targets for 13 yards receiving.
Fantasy Impact
Irving saw a season-high in carries in the regular season finale. He struggled to get much going as his longest run went for nine yards. He'll be a bounce back candidate for fantasy managers next season.
Bucky Irving found little room to operate during Sunday's 20-17 loss to Miami, rushing nine times for 19 yards while securing five of six targets for 14 yards. The running back was stonewalled by a typically vulnerable Dolphins defense, though he did salvage some value in PPR formats with his five receptions.
Fantasy Impact
This performance marked a significant downturn for Irving, who had rushed for at least 55 yards in each of his first four games following a long absence due to shoulder and foot injuries. He will look to bounce back in a winner-take-all Week 18 matchup against the Panthers that will decide the NFC South champion.
Bucky Irving ran 19 times for 71 yards in the Bucs' 23-20 loss to Carolina. He was not targeted in the passing game.
Fantasy Impact
Irving's upside has been extremely limited in the last few weeks. He's seen his receptions go down from two to one to zero in the last three games. What's worse, he's had Sean Tucker vulturing touchdowns the last two weeks and Rachaad White has still been good on his limited workload. Fantasy managers longing for Irving's return are suddenly at a loss for what to do with him now that he's healthy. You are likely starting him given his upside, but it will be tough to trust him.
Bucky Irving rushed the ball 16 times for 60 yards and caught 1-of-3 targets for 11 yards in Thursday night's 29-28 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Impact
Irving had a disappointing game on Thursday night. He saw the vast majority of touches in Tampa Bay's backfield, but he was only able to grind out 77 total yards to go with one reception and no touchdowns. He should play better than this moving forward, especially given how good his workload looks at this point.
