The defense made up for a surprising five giveaways by their offense, allowing just one touchdown in a winning effort. The unit will look to take advantage of a New England Patriots offense with turnover issues of their own in Week 4.

The Bills' D/ST logged four sacks and allowed 31 points in Thursday night's win over the Detroit Lions.

Fantasy Impact

Buffalo's defense looked good at the start of the game on Thursday night, but they weren't able to sustain that energy throughout and ended up allowing 31 points over the course of the night. This unit has some talent but will have a tough schedule coming up for the next three weeks at least, so fantasy managers shouldn't put much trust in them at this point in the season.

The Buffalo Bills D/ST had two fumble recoveries and three sacks against the Texans on Sunday in their 36-31 win.

Fantasy Impact

Buffalo had a “bend, don’t break” sort of game against Houston, especially in the final minutes. The Texans had worked their way down the field to try for a potential game winning touchdown, but a strip sack on Houston QB CJ Stroud sealed the deal for the Bills. Overall their performance was fine given the turnovers they forced, but not spectacular given the points given up. They’ll face the Lions high powered offense on Thursday.

The Buffalo Bills are promoting former OC Joe Brady to be their new Head Coach.

Fantasy Impact

While the signing of Brady of course keeps some familiarity and continuity on the team, it’s a mixed bag for those who wanted something new in Buffalo. The offense has been fine thanks to the play of Josh Allen, but lacking in explosive plays from the receiver and tight end departments which have really held back the Bills in recent years. Maybe things change with a new sheriff in town.

The Buffalo Bills are moving on from Sean McDermott after the Bills loss to the Broncos in the divisional round.

Fantasy Impact

After the heartbreaking loss to the Broncos, it seems the Bills believe it’s time for a shakeup. They’ve not been able to have much playoff success with McDermott at the helm even when Josh Allen has been playing at his best, which wasn’t always the case on Sunday. The Bills are now in the search along with a host of other teams for a new head coach. Hopefully the next coaching staff will put some legitimate receivers around Allen so their next playoff push will have a different outcome, but of course there is much more to the loss than that.
