Buffalo Bills solid in preseason opener

The Buffalo Bills surrendered 16 points and 314 yards in their preseason win over the Colts. They recorded one interception and two sacks.

Fantasy Impact

The Bills have plenty of interesting pieces on their defense and could be a strong unit again in 2019. It's always wise to play the matchups, but two games against the Dolphins and Jets could be intriguing. The Bills will be a strong fantasy defense in several weeks this year.

Buffalo Bills defense smothers Dolphins to close season

The Buffalo Bills allowed just 11 points and 225 yards in their Week 17 win over the Dolphins. The unit racked up four sacks, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions.

Fantasy Impact

The Bills defense has been strong most of the season, and was often betrayed by offensive turnovers leading to bad field position in their down games. This unit is on the verge of being a top fantasy option if the offense can more reliably stay on the field and sustain drives, so all signs are pointing up if the Bills add offensive talent and if Josh Allen continues to develop. Streaming is still the preferred option by most, but the Bills are a strong option, and will face the Dolphins and Jets twice in 2019, of course.

Buffalo Bills rack up 3 takeaways in loss to Pats

The Buffalo Bills allowed 24 points and 390 yards of offense in their Week 16 loss to the Bills. They recorded a sack, one fumble recovery, and two interceptions.

Fantasy Impact

The Bills defense has been a strong unit all year, and has turned out solid fantasy outings against good offenses at times. Next week against the Dolphins is a great spot for the Bills for fantasy owners playing in Week 17.

Buffalo Bills hold Lions to 13 points

The Buffalo Bills allowed 13 points and 313 yards in their Week 15 win over the Lions. They recorded no sacks or turnovers.

Fantasy Impact

The Bills have boasted a strong defense all year, but this performance against a struggling Lions offense was disappointing. Sadly, the unit travels to face the Patriots on the road for most fantasy championships in Week 16, so is a highly risky start. Best to look elsewhere.

Buffalo Bills turn Jets over twice in loss

The Buffalo Bills surrendered 27 points and 248 yards in their Week 14 loss to the Jets. They forced two fumbles, recovering one, and intercepted Sam Darnold once, but did not sack him.

Fantasy Impact

Overall, it was a decent day for the Bills, who were put in bad situations by a couple of Josh Allen interceptions. The defensive unit is very strong, and next week's matchup against the Lions looks surprisingly appealing given their offensive struggles for much of this season. The Bills are a viable starting unit next week.
