Cade Otton
TE - TB
In a game where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sailed to a 27-17 victory over the Chicago Bears, 24-year-old tight end Cade Otton proved to be a reliable target for his quarterback.
Fantasy Impact
Otton was targeted six times and made good on all six, racking up 41 receiving yards in the process. While he didn't find the end zone, his consistent hands and ability to move the chains were instrumental in the Bucs' win. His performance this week solidifies his standing as TE15 in weekly fantasy rankings and TE17 for the season. Otton's season stats now stand at 8 receptions on 9 targets for 60 yards, still hunting for his first touchdown. Looking ahead to Week 3, Otton and the Bucs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, where he'll look to continue his consistent play and perhaps find that elusive end zone.
Cade Otton caught two of his three targets for 19 yards in a 20-17 win over the Vikings in Week 1.
Fantasy Impact
Otton finished third on the team in receiving in the surprise win over Minnesota. Quarterback Baker Mayfield seemed to lock in on his top-two targets in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, which didn't leave much else for the rest of the Tampa pass catchers. Otton will be a low-end TE2 in Week 2 against the Bears.
Cade Otton is excited about the new Bucs offense and stepping into a leadership role as the new Tampa Bay TE1.
Fantasy Impact
Even though he is the TE1, his fantasy impact may be minimal depending on who wins the QB job. The 24-year-old had hauled in 42 catches for 391 yards and two TD.
According to Matt Lombardo of Heavy Sports, TE Cade Otton has stood out to people around the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' camp during the spring
Fantasy Impact
Otton was a rookie in 2022, catching 42 passes for 391 yards and two scores. He started five of the team's last six games as well as the Buccaneers' playoff game. Otton could continue to see an increased role as the team's primary pass catcher at the TE position in 2023, however, it's tough to say he'll be too fantasy relevant in an offense with plenty of mouths to feed and potentially sub-par QB play.
Cade Otton caught just two passes for 17 yards in Tampa Bay's 30-24 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Otton was targeted a decent amount of times on Sunday, but he couldn't do much with them. He only caught two passes on the course of the day, and he once again didn't do much for fantasy purposes. He's flashed some potential at points this season, so he could be an intriguing fantasy option at the position next season.
